People with myopia (also known as short-sightedness) have problems seeing objects and signs from far, but can see objects that are near clearly. For people who are myopic, the eyeball is too long, so the light entering the eye is not focused in the correct spot.

Myopia usually runs in families and usually starts in our childhood. We can use glasses, contact lenses, or laser eye surgery to correct it.
